Located near the geographical center of town, the Thundermoor neighborhood was built between 1972 and 1978, and is roughly bounded by Swallow, Stover, Drake and College.  Home styles and sizes vary quite a bit, with square footage numbers ranging from 1280 up to 4008.  Of 99 homes in the neighborhood, 85 of these are owner occupied, giving an owner occupancy rate of 86%.  Average rent for a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home is around $1125 per month.  In 2009, there were 6 homes sold, at a median home price of $225k and an average price of $229,250.  These homes took an average of 99 days to sell.

Foothills mall is located just south of the neighborhood and includes shopping opportunities like Macy’s, Sears, and American Eagle Outfitters, and just north on College is a shopping center with King Soopers, Whole Foods, Office Max, Performance Bike, and several other shopping options. With it’s central location, Thundermoor also has easy access to the dining and shopping in the Harmony Corridor and Front Range Village.

Residents with kids send their elementary students to O’Dea Elementary, Boltz Middle School, and Fort Collins High School.
